Art portfolio and CV

Siina Siuvo is an artist, photographer, and technology student based in Tampere, Finland. She began her art studies as a child through courses at community colleges and later continued in high school with a focus on visual arts. Since 2023, Siuvo has organized exhibitions in the Pirkanmaa region and in Helsinki. Her work explores themes of nature, humanity's place within it, and our role as shapers of the environment.

Maissi (Corn), 120 x 80 cm, 2023; Saniainen (Fern), 70 x 90 cm, 2024; and Kesäheinä (Summer Grass), 70 x 90 cm, 2024, from the series "peace, place"

The technique of oil on canvas has always particularly drawn me. My works are highly representational, but light serves as a unique and essential creator of atmosphere. More abstract themes begin to entwine within the movements of plants surrounding the figures, embodying a sense of peace and place. Each piece is based on a photograph I've taken, with friends serving as my models.
